Playing QuickTime without the player??

Is there any Quicktime codec avalible so i can play quicktime without installing the Quicktime player??

The short answer is no as far as I know. A bit like Real Media. I read somewhere that QT6 files are fairly MPEG4-ISO compatible and if renamed to *.mp4 will play in a mp4 player (e.g. player) Not sure. Never got a chance to test. Edge

what do you mean like real media?? I can play Real Media files in MPC though...

The newest version of Real Media can play Quicktime files if you have installed Quicktime, because it doesn't include the codec with it. Mark
